Feast of black Nazarene
The Traslación is a reenactment of the moving of a replica image of the Black Nazarene from Intramuros to Quiapo Church in 1787. This event takes place every year. In the year 1606, the Augustinian Recollects were the ones who initially brought the original statue to the Philippines. Since that time, the Traslación has been held on an annual basis to celebrate and remember the first journey that the Black Nazarene made to its present location.
