Feluche

Feluca boats moored at the beach of Ganzirri in Sicily, Italy. Those peculiar vessel can only be found in the strait of Messina and they are used for the traditional swordfish fishing. The mast measure over 23 meters and the boat is driven from the top of the mast where four people are constantly looking towards the four cardinal points to spot the presence of swordfish. The passarelle at the bow in which the harpooner stands, measure around 30 meters.
