Female Goldfinch on Gladiola Flower

Having a small hobby farm I like to include flowers for the native wildlife to feed upon. This year was an amazing year for identifying species who come to our property. After a battle with chipmunks eating my newly planted sunflower seeds, I was able to grow my sunflowers. Some of the sunflowers bloomed early and seeds were forming. While out trying to capture some hummingbird photos, this female goldfinch stopped by to feed on the seeds. Thankfully she flew on top of the gladiola flower where I was able to capture her beauty.
