I loved that this migratory female grosbeak who came to eat seeds on our bird feeder in the spring, decided to perch on the stand where the Flowering crab apple tree blossoms made a good background in our back yard. The female although perhaps not as colorful as the male grosbeak has her own sense of beauty and style.
