This is a photo I took while visiting Gettysburg National Park in Pennsylvania. There is a newer fence in the forefront of the photo and an old one that was built during the Civil War era in the top third of the photo. In the distance there is also a fence which is faintly visible in the background of the photo. The Civil War divided us as a nation in America and, unfortunately, there are still issues that divide us as a nation today. The fences in my photo symbolize this division.
