Ferry across the Ohio on the Jenny Ann
This is a photo of the Augusta, KY ferry that is one of the oldest, hand operated ferries that is still in operation on the Ohio River 7 days a week from Augusta, KY to Higginsport, OH. Cost is $5 for one way but, foot travelers may ride for free. I never saw such a small ferry and was impressed how many years it has been in operation on the Ohio. A real historical treat to see it in operation! It began transporting passengers in April of 1798.
