Festa di San Calogero
Procession on the Feast of St Calogerus in Agrigento held on July 9th, 2017. The great number of worshipers follow the statue of St Calogerus. Pilgrims literally throw themselves on the statue believing that physical contact with statue will grant them good health and protection from evil. Therefore young children are placed on the top of the St Calogerus statue head.
