The Atwater Market is one of the four operating public markets where city inhabitants can still meet the farmers and buy fresh locally grown produce. Located near the Canal Lachine, a sector which is now in effervescence thanks to the construction of many condos, the Canal was once the backbone of a busy industrial zone.
