Fiesta de San Baltazar
The annual fiesta in San Baltazar Guelavia, Oaxaca, Mexico -- it lasts about three days in this mezcal town, and it centers around two main events: the rodeo, or "jariepo," and the dance, which goes into the wee hours. Fireworks and celebratory gunshots can be heard ringing from each to each until dawn.
