Animals are symbolic and present in every culture. Stories and folktales containing an animal usually teaches a lesson. In this photo, an egret stands in almost still water and every time I look back at this photo, I remember how quiet it was as I stared at the egret in amazement. It also occurred to me that I felt at peace as I looked at the egret. Amidst all the things that is happening out in the world, going out to find an egret in nature was a peaceful moment that I wanted to capture.
