Sustainable travel to me looks like finding a way to properly balance travel and work. When I arrived in NZ, I booked accommodation for 5 nights and then found a job working with a family for free food and accommodation included. I did that with several other families for the first few months in New Zealand and limited my expenses. Now I am almost done writing a book on how others can do the work and holiday in New Zealand, while saving time, stress, and money.
