Mid September while visiting Laramie WY I went hiking in the Vedauwoo Recreation Area. The Mullens fire was raging west of the city, so I headed east thinking it would be better air quality. The winds had shifted and I was surrounded by the most eerie hike that I have experienced. The sky was a golden, reddish brown and ash was falling. I grab a few quick pictures and was amazed at the effect. It was a powerful experience.
