Fire Survivor - a boab tree (Adansonia gregorii), Australia
The boab tree (Adansonia gregorii) is the only species of baobab found in Australia where it can be seen in the Northern Territory and the Kimberley region. To me this image shows their incredible ability to withstand damage from wild fire. Every other tree around it is black and burned. Wildfires are frequent during the lightning storms of October when this image was taken.
