A local home owner offered up his home for a training burn for the volunteer firefighters from the local station and surrounding towns. Firefighter/EMT Sebastian Thomas had been on the job for just over two years at the time of this photograph. As a direct result of training sessions like this, Thomas was able to quickly act and rescue a disabled man from a 4-alarm blaze a few months later.
