It was late at night when a police officer approached and was wondering if I was taking star trail photos. "Yes sir, but also trying to get some fireflies in it", I replied. Then he was wondering if that's possible. Turns out he also likes to take photos of stars especially with long exposures that last hours. We shared our experiences about taking photos, and found that both of us enjoy the least when taking pictures of people...This is not the first time I encounter officers that approaches me, and I understood that taking pictures out in the dark alone could be dangerous.
