On a brief trip north from St. Louis to the nearby town of Grafton, IL just north of the Illinois River, we went to a delightful free concert in the city park followed by a night time fireworks display. This is the third image in a series of three. Opinions will depend on the individual viewer, but to me, while this one still shows some of the patriotic healthy energy of America, it also shows more of toxic fire and smoke of the great divide that has descended upon the discourse in our country. I intended this to be in the category of "American Experience", but that choice is not available presently.
