14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Fireworks during 'Rapa das bestas' old tradition.
Since the early eighteenth century there are reports of this celebration. Formerly it was done in a stones square close to the church, now it has capacity for 1,500 spectators.
