This is the first Quetzal newborn in artificial nest in Los Santos Region, Costa Rica. After Nate tropical storm that hit the zone in October 2017, the expectative about the quetzal nesting season were reserved. Paraíso Quetzal Lodge develop a project with artificial nest to help Quetzals in the nesting season and we had a great surprise, one of the some quetzal couples in the zone, choose one of the artificial nests.
