First year bear cub, Lake Clark National Park

This cub, along with its sibling, were sedging along a meadow in Lake Clark National Park with their mother. She was attentive, but the two cubs were rambunctious and playful. This one broke away from the sow, and the sibling, and decided to lay down on the sandy ridge separating the shore from the meadow. He couldn't have picked a more picturesque spot, with wildflowers framing him.
