This is a an old saw mill that was converted into a wildlife sanctuary. The fish ladder was added to aid herring make it up river. The great thing about conservation is the creation of habitat that was unintentional. The bridge over the fish ladder makes a perfect place for Barn and Rough-winged Swallows to nest
