Fisherman with cormorant

Traveling around the world, I learned that I want to catch real moments. When I arrived in Xingping I was severely disappointed. I always wanted to photograph a famous fisherman, and everyone just offered me paid tours with "actors and models." I went to the mountains, a Chilean woman I met there told me that the fisherman was sometimes near the river. Running down the mountain, traversing barefoot the rushing river, I arrived at my destination. We were there alone. Despite the language barrier, we managed to communicate and I captured a portrait of the fisherman and the cormorant.
