Five bridges

At Blue Island Junction (Illinois) three major rail lines intersect then cross the Cal-Sag Canal. With five bridges crossing the Cal-Sag in close proximity, the junction is a unique spot in the US rail system. The bridges are reported to have originally been constructed in 1938 and rebuilt in the mid 1960s. The middle (single track) bridge is no longer in use.
