The Five cent Island

Madhu river is a 138 acre wetland. In 2003, designated as a Ramzar wetland and a sanctuary. The smallest island here is Five Cents Island. There used to be a devalaya there. People have gone there to arrange pilgrimages. Here are the ruins. It is said that it is a temple of God Kataragama.
