Fk It

While exploring wilderness areas near my home, I took a different than normal route one day through the middle of nowhere and came across this abandoned roadside hotel. Its old sign hints it used to cater to tourists visiting the Pony Express trail. The place felt like something out of post-apocalyptic The Walking Dead, and while the white lettering spells out a message synonymous with Covid in 2020, the graffiti is likely from a far earlier time. Someone has made this their home, however; while taking this photo, shockingly I HEARD FOOTSTEPS in one of the rooms ahead, then a creaky door hinge and a lock; It was clear someone was living here and did not want to be known, and so I took my startled self and left back to my own place.
