This Palawan Hornbill was kept in a cage as a pet, which hindered her ability to fly. The Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center rescued her and placed a low-lying perch for her - only for her to struggle to reach the top and sometimes fall. Her ability to fly was stripped away from her solely because someone decided to support the illegal wildlife trade.
