From May to July is the mating season of a kind of local firefly called curtos costipennis, and the climax only last a few days. I found this secret place in the suburb of a small town near Shanghai, with help of local conservationists. There was a heavy rain when I drove to this place, luckily I met the most density of firefly after visiting again and again, and managed to capture them in pictures.
