At a local street fair, I noticed an over-sized soapy bubble slowly drifting up toward the sky. I was mesmerized by the floating rainbow, as my eyes were fixated on its methodical movement as it slowly glided near the tall trees, as if it were dancing in air. I remember worrying about the delicate bubble making contact with a tree branch and it bursting...but then I reflected on the importance of living in the moment and cherishing the present moment (not worrying about "what might" happen, which was technically out of my control). Well, this beautiful iridescent soapy bubble never did run into the trees, and it continued to float toward the clear blue sky. This image causes me to reflect on contrasts in life, such as fragility versus sharp edges that can suddenly impact such fragility -- a metaphor for the Covid19 Pandemic world we were living in.
