A flock of egrets and herons perched upon a cypress tree inside Lafayette Heritage Trail Park in Tallahassee, Florida. This trail begins only a few miles from my home but the remoteness feels like it is worlds away. In the winter, the trail sheds much of it's underbrush, greenery, and mosquitoes, which makes it considerably easier to spot wildlife than it would be in warmer months!
