My first weekend studying in Florence, I set off on my own to explore the city with my camera. After hours of walking, I ended up on Il Ponte Vecchio as the sun was setting. A local old man was tossing bread crumbs to the seagulls and giving them to kids to do the same. The frenzied birds silhouetted against the calm orange-tinted waters was breathtaking and in that moment I fell in love with the city.
