I live within walking distance of two excellent Wetlands in South Florida; Green Cay Wetland and Nature Center in Boynton Beach, Florida, and Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray Beach, Florida; so I am definitely a frequent visitor. Recently I decided to go one morning over to Green Cay, and just walk around the boardwalk and maybe make a few shots. As I was getting near the end of my morning, I saw this common turtle for the area, a Florida Red-bellied Cooter sort of just laying on the rushes. Since the composition allowed for a nice view of the belly of the turtle, I decided to make the shot.
