23rd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
Flour, Feed and Seed
A Victorian era building is a landmark in historic Kinderhook in Columbia County upstate New York. Once used as a granary in this village settled by the Dutch, it's had several attempts at repurposing and renovation. Kinderhook is known for being the birthplace of 8th president of the USA, Martin Van Buren, and where he lived at the end of his life.
