Flying in a pandemic
Papantla flyers, also known as Bird-Men are a group of dancers that recreate an old ritual dance with an unknown origin time. Today, the dance, which consists partly in spinning around a tall pole while another flyer plays a flute on top, is exhibited as a tourist attraction, despite the pandemic. The Bird-Man on the picture wears the traditional clothing besides his face mask.
