18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Foggy Road
It was a foggy morning on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville, North Carolina winter of 2020. The fog was so thick in some places it looked like it came out of something otherworldly. I got out of the car and took this picture to show the fog and how dark it was.
