Dense fog is common along the Maine coast. On a night like this the Old Port neighborhood of Portland, Maine would usually be crowded, but not tonight. Because of the pandemic, bars were closed, people stayed in their homes, and the streets were largely empty. The fog and the beam of light it enhanced almost serve to highlight that emptiness.
