I was going to photograph the World War II airplane "Arsenal Of Democracy" fly-over of Washington, DC, however the weather forced cancellation, so I spent the day on the flightline with the warbirds and chatting with the pilots and crew that keep these treasures flying and delighting millions. This FG-1D Corsair, with folded wings, seemed longing to soar to the skies. I walked around the plane a few times to find the most interesting composition.
