We waited for hours for the wildebeests to cross the Mara River in their annual, circular trek from Tanzania to Kenya and back. We had taken this bucket-list trip in hopes to capture a large and dramatic crossing. As the wildebeests finally entered the water I asked our guide if he could position us where he thought the animals would exit...and, luckily, he was exactly right and I captured them as they exited to safety on the river bank right in front of us.
