Foot steps of spring
This "reed burning" is carried out with the aim of preserving the environment of the Ramsar Convention-registered wetland, to eradicate pests, promote the growth of reeds, and prevent them from becoming overgrown with trees. The event takes place every year in March, when the arrival of spring is in sight, but it will be postponed on windy days. Many firefighters are on standby in case of an emergency. Its area is approximately 1,500 hectares.
