15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
For whom's got the key
This picture is a mixture of two images; on the one hand, a break holed in the concrete of the wall of an old house, and on the other the door lock of the same house. Seeing the form of the hole reminded me of the image that we have of a heart, and I wanted to symbolize with the lock the opening of that broken, pierced and wounded heart for anyone who has the key to heal it.
