This tiny, black dragonfly was sitting on a rock next to our backyard water feature one morning this summer when I took its photo. I’ve developed a fondness this year for escaping into the mini world using the macro setting on my camera, and I was taken aback by the scary blue eyes and mouth of this dragonfly when I loaded and viewed the pictures of it on my computer.
