23rd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Wildlife

I was at a lodge near Trapper's Lake in Meeker Colorado. This fox wandered nearby and lay down by an outcropping near a cabin. I crept up and got several photos without disturbing the young beauty. The autumn colors and aspens made a stunning backdrop.
