There is the presence of lightness and darkness in this photograph. Also, the bokeh in the background creates a dreamlike atmosphere. She is the main focal point in the composition. My inspiration for this work comes from the photographer Sally Mann. She would photograph portraits of her family. To her, photography is about showing people that she loves. This is a portrait of a dear friend who lives far away from me. This photograph allows me to forget the distance and appreciate the timeless quality of photography.
