13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Framed Sunrise, Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island, Georgia
I had heard of Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island for over a year and could hardly wait for the opportunity to see it. I spent the night on the island so I could see the sun rise on the easterly facing beach. The driftwood was amazing the way it framed the sun rising up.
