As I walked along a local beach, I was mindful of the serenity of the crashing waves, sand, birds and sky. I looked up and saw a beautiful white seagull flying overhead admidst the clouds. The contrast of its vibrant, white feathers against the dreary, grey clouds looming overhead was notable. The bird glided overhead, seemingly without a care in the world, and appeared to soar out of the clouds. I felt invigorated by the soaring bird, and was overcome by a momentary feeling of freedom and empowerment. I never thought a seagull could move my spirit in such a way, but it serendipitously did touch my soul. I am grateful for having witnessed this "freedom flight."
