Soaring above the city at 1,776 feet, One World Trade Center is an indelible New York landmark. On September 11, 2001 I was stationed in North Carolina while serving in the United States Marine Corps, needless to say I was devastated. I haven't been back to NYC due to my military assignments. This past Veterans Day I had the opportunity to visit the city and was able to capture this. Going back there despite it being 13 years later was amazing, and getting the chance to see this building was worth it. The Freedom Tower and the buildings that surround it are truly awe inspiring.
