My daughters and I picked fresh blueberries along the camp road. Amazingly we picked enough to make a pie. We needed at least three containers full. Meme, my Mother-in-law, made the crust from scratch while the children ages 26, 12 and 9 were enjoying jumping off the dock and teaching Sophie our 1year old Red golden retriever to swim. It was a spectacular Maine day "upta camp" topped off with a piece of sweet blueberry pie to round out the day as the sky turned orange, pink and then finally a calm blue as if saying good night from Mount Katahdin.
