Fried food is a favorite in many countries. And it's no different in the southern states of the US. Shown here is a concession stand at the Watermelon Festival in Russellville, Alabama. But it must be noted that not all Southerners, including myself, like everything battered and fried. A few favorites by some, other than fried chicken, is fried pickles and fried oreos. But I was also surprised to find listed was shark or alligator on a stick. Again, maybe some enjoy that sort of thing, but it's not at the top of my list.
