Friendly giraffe stepped up and gave me a close-up happy smirk, Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago, IL
I walked throughout my favorite hometown zoo, the amazing Lincoln Park Zoo. I came upon this lovable giraffe in her indoor habitat. She kept staring at me. Then she would nibble on her food presented in a nest-like basket of plucked leaves strung high up at her head's level. She watched me intently.
