Our local loon is nesting on her two eggs, sharing the space with a muskrat and turtles. Today the turtle decided to crawl up on her back to get a sunnier spot. The loon did not seem to mind and made no effort to move or get the turtle off of her back. A great example of how it is possible for everyone to get along!
