Frozen Night
Icicles cling to a frozen cherry tree in January; a single lamp illuminates their growth, like winter's fruit born of the tree, before the cold morning light melts them. It is a tree occupied by a bitter season, and an innate human desire to create light, to create knowing, where there is darkness.
