Gallery Reception

Westbeth is the world's largest artists' housing complex in the world. It is located occupying an entire city block in Greenwich Village section of New York City converted from a Bell Telephone Lab. !3 story high and nearly 300 lofts strong, it houses artists of all artistic disciplines and has dance, music, performance and art gallery places of its own. This photo shows an exhibition opening reception in its smaller gallery space surrounded by plywood safety enclosures due to renovation project. Plywood helps window glass reflect audience and some displayed works in a mysterious way.
